One of the most memorable experiences that Stu and I have over the years is going up to ‘camp’ with his mother. There were lots of campfires, lake time, and home cooked meals. It was the best medicine we ever needed and took the trek from Florida to northern Maine every single year.
We have dreamed of providing this experience for others and we feel like we have put the pieces together to show us ‘our’’ Maine - the beauty of the Midcoast!
The Area

Maine is special and Midcoast is even more-so! We have fallen in love with the quintessential, down to earth nature of the land,the food, and the Maine people!
It's 1.5 hours from Portland and 1.25 hours from Bangor - and you'll reach heaven!
Our B&B

We will be experiencing the quintessential Maine Bed and Breakfast experience with the best Innkeepers in the world who will cook made-from-scratch breakfast for us daily and make sure we have the best experience ever!

Imagine as you wake up in the morning, hearing the birds chirping outside while taking your cup of coffee outside to take in the beauty and the tranquility of everything all around you.
The blueberry fields are starting to turn fiery red as well as the leaves are starting to turn with a cleansing crispness in the air!

You can feel the love that Deb, the proprietor, who bottles her own maple syrup to take care of your every need!
The Yoga

We will have yoga twice daily of course, in many locations! Outside on the lawn, on the grass by the bay, in my new yoga room with beautiful views, and maybe even with some Alpacas!
We will dive into yoga, meditation, journaling, and breath work to balance you out in just the right way along with life coaching that will help you see your life from a new perspective!

Stu and Sherry can't wait to share the view from the yoga room with you! Yoga on the deck then maybe with a glass of tea or wine, taking it all in!

When you leave the retreat - you will carry in your heart all of the experiences and self-awareness that you have found this week with a new found connection to yourself and to the land, the sea air, and the expansiveness of the sky!
If you are a beginner - no worries! Classes are fulfilling for beginners and teachers alike - from gentle to yin to power! Sherry has been teaching for over 15 years and makes classes accessible for all levels - meeting you where you're at, honoring your body - yet giving giving you the challenge that you need to go beyond your comfort zone.

You don’t have to think about a thing! Every detail is meticulously planned for you!

Upon your arrival...
You arrive at the Portland or Bangor airports to be taken to your B&B and greeted by Sherry & her husband Stu.
You indulge in this alone time before you meet up with the group for the opening circle and our first group dinner!
Each day begins and ends with our daily yoga class with amazing excursions in between!
Yes, we will take you to the major sites, but we’ll take you to our favorite off the beaten path places that you wouldn’t get on any other tour. We’ll take you to our favorite watering hole and ice cream spot!
Of course, we’ll have lobster and all the seafood you can eat over the week, and meet some just plain down to earth amazing Mainers.
We'll be visiting all the popular places as well as those gems that are on and off the beaten path that Stu and Sherry love!

Farm to table food - right out of the sea and the gardens is deliciously amazing!
What's Included
- One bus transport per arrival and departure from both Portland and Bangor airports
- Accommodations at our quaint B&B
- Locally sourced breakfasts
- Some of the excursions we have planned are:
- a day in Belfast with lots of fun including yoga on the harbor, a short walk, shopping and an afternoon sail in Penobscot bay
- A day of meandering in Camden along with a hike up Mount Battie
- A dinner at our favorite ‘watering hole”
- A couple of surprise dinners (as always!)
- Visit to the local Oyster farms
- A day of fun at the lake at the Smith homestead - Pontoon boat, campfires and all!
- A lobster bake
- And whatever else floats our boat!
- All breakfasts and most dinners will be included, Lunches will be on your own (dinners may not include alcohol in most locations - can be purchased on your own)

Your Retreat Leader - Sherry Smith, Life Coach & Yoga Teacher

In my early to mid 20’s I felt like I had to deal with much more than the average 20 something year old - dealing with my only sister’s death in 1993, divorce in 1997, and my new husband’s illnesses in 2002 and 2004. In addition, I was in a corporate job that was draining my energy and moving me further away from who I was. My corporate job was in the travel industry which was fun once upon a time, but after Sept. 11th, it became much more corporate and almost cut throat at that time. Yoga helped me process and rise above my heartbreak and challenges and find new purpose and inspiration for my life, gave me courage to make necessary changes, and find happiness again. I left my corporate job and began working at the renowned Moffitt Cancer Center as well as teaching yoga. That was over 16 years ago and I have never looked back!

Travel Info
Allegiant airlines as nonstop flights from St. Petersburg, FL to Bangor if you would like that option coming from Tampa Bay. Otherwise, feel free to arrive at either Portland, Maine or Bangor, Maine where there will be one transport bus will pick you up and drop you off at the airport at a designated time. If this time does not work for you, you must set up your own transport to appropriate airport/train station.

COVID Protocols - what are we following? We are following whatever the CDC guidelines are at the time. Vaccination cards are not required for travel currently for US travel, we may require testing prior to arrival to limit exposure, but this will be the most strict of the requirements. For those of you at that time that want to wear masks, feel free to do so, but unless there is another major change, they will be optional. These protocols are all subject to change based on what is happening in the world.
What can I expect as far as excursions and activities? We commit ourselves to the best quality experiences one can offer - so expect the same level of quality that you receive on all of our European experiences. All breakfasts, and most meals will be covered which will all be top quality. Transport for the week will be two twelve passenger vans driven by none other than Chauffeur Sherry and Stu for the week!
Have never done yoga before?
No problem! The retreat is for all levels! Our retreats are not just yoga - normally yoga is taught once or twice per day depending on our itinerary and the excursions and meals are just as much a part of the theme of the week as the yoga. It is an immersion for all of the senses!
Never done this for yourself? Just do it! There’s no time like now! It will be a life-defining week.
Traveling by yourself? Perfect! We'll partner you with a roommate to share your room with. Once you sign up we also connect you with our private Facebook page so that you get to get to know the group before the trip - so you can find another friend to travel with if you’d rather travel with someone.

Can I bring my spouse or partner? Our retreats are for men and women alike :) Sherry and Stu are a husband and wife team and make everyone feel at home. Our last Santorini retreat had 5 couples :) We even had a couple join us on their HONEYMOON in Corsica!

I would like to immerse myself in yoga and self-exploration while I'm there. Is there time for that? YES! There will be plenty of time to reflect, do your own practice, journal, photography, sketching, whatever your creative outlet is.
Should I bring any yoga props with me (blocks, strap)? You should bring everything you need to practice yoga, especially your mat. Blocks will be provided, but please bring a strap and your mat.
